Who’s in Charge

Spread the love

Luke 7 vs. 8 (KJV)
For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.”

All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was the one in charge. The brain said I should be in charge because I am the one who runs the entire body’s system. The blood felt it should be in charge because it helped carry oxygen all over the body. Then the stomach thought it should be in charge because it helps to digest the food so the body can have energy. The legs spoke saying they were the most important because it was the body’s form of transportation. The eyes frustrated and disagreed saying they should be in charge because they helped the body see where it is going.

Finally, the rectum spoke up and had the last word and said, “I am the most important because I am how the body gets rid of waste. Not only am I the most important thing in your body, but I am also going to show you why, so the rectum shut down tight”.  Soon after, the brain could not think, and it ached, the blood became sluggish, the stomach started hurting, the legs got wobbly, and eyes got blurry. The body held an emergency meeting, and there was a unanimous vote that the rectum was in charge.

Did you know that the body should have a bowel movement after each meal? If you eat three meals a day, you should have three bowel movements. Out of those three meals, if you only have one movement, then you are two bowel movements behind for the day, if this is normal for you, then by the end of the week you are 14 shifts behind, and by the end of the month 56 movements back. This one simple thing is the culprit of many ailments, such as bad breath, bad skin, stomach aches, hemorrhoids, and the list continues.

If you are constipated, experiencing bloating, gas, and a host of other digestive disorders, this can be a sign that you have forgotten who is in charge.
