A Solid Foundation

Spread the love

Proverbs 14 vs. 1 (NKJV)
A wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.

You have one life, the question for you today is are you taking care of the greatest gift that you have been given. Anyone who has built a house can tell you that the most important thing is the foundation. Without the right foundation, the structural integrity of a home will not last.

The foundation of the home carries the weight of the entire house on its shoulders.  It allows for the walls of the home to be stable and secure, and it keeps the wood framing of the home away from the termites that are in the ground.

Sugar and spice and everything beautiful, ended with a diagnosis of diabetes.  If you think your foundation is secure just because your makeup looks good, you are in denial. What are you doing to take care of yourself?

The three top diseases that kill women are Heart Disease, Cancer and Stroke. The foundation for these diseases is a poor diet, lack of exercise, lack of rest, lack of water, and cigarette smoking. What kind of foundation have you laid in your house?  Pizza, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, french fries, and sodas is not strong enough to hold back the diseases that will attack the walls of your house. A sedentary lifestyle invites the bugs and pathogens to take over.

There has been enough information circulating for you to know what needs to be done to place yourself in a position to have optimum health. You may not know where to start, it could be that you have delayed going to the Doctor because you already know what he/she will say, or you are afraid of getting bad news.

Schedule a visit to the Doctor for a physical, get a baseline of where you are, regardless of what is said.  This is the most critical start in your goal to achieve better health, and than work to make a change, little by little.  Those small changes build small blocks that larger ones can rest on, and before you know it, you will have built a house that can withstand some of the strongest of storms, after all, don’t you deserve to live in a beautiful home.
