A Bunch Of Bolognas

Spread the love

Proverbs 1:31 KJV
Therefore, shall they eat of the fruit of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

There is a story that talks about a construction worker who opened his lunch, and after taking his sandwich out of the bag, threw it to the ground, yelling, “Bologna again! I hate bologna.” His fellow worker gave him a solution, “Why not ask your wife to stop making you bologna sandwiches?” This would have been good advice for the exception that the one who made the sandwich was the worker himself, and not the wife.

We spend a great deal of time eating lunches that we hate but took the time to make. What makes it worse is we subject others to our anger and frustration about the preparation of the meal and even the taste. We become bitter over time about how we deserve better, when in truth, we went and bought the ingredients, put them together and then wrapped it up thinking that when the time came to eat, the very thing that we took so much time to make would have morphed into something more desirable.

Life can only be what you make it, if you are tired of the bologna, then stop spending your time and hard-earned money on it. If you are tired of being sick, tired of being overweight, tired of being broke, or just plain tired, but every day you keep the same patterns and expect something different, then the only person you are fooling is yourself. If you want something different, then make and do something different, it’s just that simple.
